Welcome to radio Botswana 2 which is first commercial radio station that started broadcasting service in April 1992 as a government pilot project which is finding ways to offset increasing expenditure through advertising. Initially, it started service with a 100-watt transmitter that covers 50 km around the capital city, and now it dubbed “FM 103” and can be tuned to across the country. Mostly it targets audience age between 15 to 45 years contain urban and suburban dwellers. It provides entertainment to the younger members of society as well as young urban professionals.
You can listen news bulletins to “6 a.m., 7 a.m., 1 p.m., 6 p.m., 8 p.m. and 9 p.m.” every weekday. On weekends, bulletins are also available for the listening community. As a commercial radio station, it also generates some revenue from its online programs and advertising. They also provide recording facilities for commercials as well as accepts sponsored programming.
